Microgrit WCA “S” Series (Aluminum Oxide-Alumina Powder)
Bột Nhôm Oxit - Alumina oxide powder
For Wear, Scratch and Mar Resistance
WCA is an Alumina powder developed and introduced by Micro Abrasives Corporation in 1957. WCA is known throughout the world for its unique Particle shape, aspect ratio and size distribution. Each WCA particle is a discrete crystal of alumina having a purity of over 99%. The crystals have a smooth surface and a distinctive platelet shape with an aspect ratio of 5:1. Each WCA particle has an exceptional resistance to fracturing which gives it an unparalleled advantage over typical fused aluminum oxides.
WCA is manufactured in a time proven high tech process which offers performance, dependability and consistency. This hydraulic process offers one of the most repeatable lot to lot consistencies in the abrasive industry and has done so for almost 50 years.
ADVANTAGES OF USING WCA IN WEAR PROTECTION
- The platelet crystal shape causes orientation parallel to the paper
surface; pressure is thereby distributed uniformly over a larger surface
area resulting in less damage to the press plates and thus extending press
plate life. - The aspect ratio of 5:1 makes the WCA optically correct allowing light to
pass through the alumina creating minimal light scatter and this gives the
WCA the highest clarity in the industry today. - Uniform size and quality of particle integrity gives the laminate the most
repeatable batch consistency in the industry. - Micro Abrasives’ legendary “S” treatment has been time proven in the Laminate industry for almost 30 years. This treatment creates a seamless bond between the WCA and the coatings (laminate, Lacquer, epoxy resin, polyurethane and more).
Micro Abrasives offers a variety of different suspension treatments to prevent hard packing and provide different levels of suspension. Custom blends of suspension treatments can be made for special or unique applications. Premixed slurries are available upon request.
